The Savage Jerky Story

SUMMER. THE OPEN ROAD. HUNGER STRIKES. A few friends make stop after stop in a vain attempt to find some good beef jerky. Gas station after gas station full of the same mediocre, dry jerky. Hours of frustration later, we vowed to do something about it. We would become devotees and masters of beef jerky, fulfilling the ultimate goal of creating a natural, flavorful, spicy snack that didn’t contain ingredients that belong in a lab instead of a kitchen.

Months later, we had four core flavors, and all was well. But deep down, we knew there was still work to do. We wanted to see if the public was ready for this masterful creation of ours. We launched a Kickstarter campaign with the goal of raising $12,000 to offset the costs of production, packaging, legal fees, and promotional materials. We were blown away with the response and our confidence was bolstered. People were interested in what we were doing and were now invested in our success.

We delivered on our promise to more than 400 backers and created a product that people are raving about. We’ve accomplished our goal of creating a natural, hand-crafted beef jerky that is full of unique flavor, including varieties with more heat than even the bravest hot head can handle in one sitting. We’re extremely thankful for all who have supported us and we’re excited for what the future holds.
