Ready to level up your next cookout or late-night craving? Packed with crispy edges, melted cheese, and the bite of our Sizzlin' Maple Bacon Jerky, this is comfort food for carnivores.

Ingredients:

  • 1 bag Sizzlin' Maple Bacon Jerky
  • 1 medium yellow onion (thinly sliced)
  • 8oz ground beef
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 4 slices sourdough bread (or preferred)
  • 4 slices Swiss cheese (or preferred)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Directions:

Add 1 tablespoon of butter and sliced onions to a large cast iron skillet on medium to medium low heat. Stir onions occasionally for about 20 minutes until brown and caramelized. When almost fully cooked (about 2 minutes left), add apple cider vinegar and combine together. Remove onions from skillet and set aside.

Prepare two 4oz thin beef patties shaped to your bread slices. Season with salt and pepper. Set heat to medium-high and add patties to the skillet. Cook about 3 minutes per side then remove.

Use remaining tablespoon of butter to coat the bread slices on one side. Wipe skillet clean and add two slices of buttered bread. Top each piece with one slice of cheese, half of the caramelized onions, 1oz of bacon jerky, and the beef patties. Top each with one more slice of cheese and remaining slice of bread. Flip and cook until cheese is melted and bread is toasted.

Slice sandwiches in half and serve while warm.
