Our twist on a classic on-the-go snack, we packed these delicious granola bars with protein by adding our Ginger Lemongrass beef jerky. Any of our beef jerky varieties will go great in these granola bars that include dried cranberry, slivered almonds, flax seed and more.
- 1 cup smooth, creamy peanut or cashew butter
- 2/3 cup honey
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup dried cranberries
- ½ cup mini semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 3 tbsp flax seed
- 2 ½ cups whole rolled oats
- ½ cup slivered almonds
- 1 bag Savage Beef Jerky, cut into small squares
Combine peanut or cashew butter, honey and vanilla extract in a large mixing bowl. Add dry ingredients and combine well. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and spread granola mixture evenly. Using the back of another baking sheet, press down to form a single, sheet of granola with even thickness.
Place tray in refrigerator or freezer for at least one hour. Once the mixture is thoroughly chilled, cut into even bars.
