Savage Jalapeno Popper Mummies

Savage Stuffed Jalapeno Mummies 

Our take on these popular, whimsical Halloween party snacks are packed with our Carolina Reaper beef jerky. Paired with delicious cream cheese, pepper jack cheese and wrapped with buttery crescent roll dough, these will be a frightful delight at your next Halloween event! 

Ingredients: 

  • 6-8 Large Jalapeños
  • 8oz package cream cheese
  • 1 cup grated pepper jack cheese
  • 1 package Savage Jerky Carolina Reaper beef jerky, chopped
  • 1 package Pillsbury Crescent Rolls 
  • 1 package candy eyeballs 

Directions:

Preheat oven to 400º F. Wash jalapenos, slice in half lengthwise and core with a small spoon, set aside. 

In a medium bowl, mix chopped jerky (any of our delicious varieties will work for this!), cream cheese and pepper jack cheese together. Add a spoon of the cheese mixture to each jalapeno half, set aside. Open the crescent roll dough and fold each into rectangles, then using a pizza roller or sharp knife, trim each into thin strips.

Wrap each jalapeno half in the strips, leaving room to place the eyes after cooked. Place poppers into pre-heated oven and bake for 15-18 minutes. Once cooked, allow to cool before placing candy eyeballs into place.
