Halloween is here! We have a recipe that will spice up any holiday activity.
Ingredients:
- ½ package of Ghost Pepper Beef Jerky, chopped or torn
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp red pepper flakes
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion, diced
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 can crushed tomatoes (28oz)
- 1 3/4 beef broth
- 1 can black beans, drained (14oz)
- 2 cups frozen corn
In a large pot or Dutch oven, heat oil over medium high until the oil is hot. Add ground beef and cook for 5-7 minutes until browned. Break up into smaller even pieces. Add onion and stir well to combine and continue to cook for 3-4 minutes until tender. Stir in garlic, paprika, cumin, and red pepper flakes until mixed.
Add crushed tomatoes and beef broth to the pot. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Cover the lid and let it simmer over medium heat for 10 minutes. Add in the black beans and corn. Stir well to mix and cook until heated through. Serve immediately and add preferred toppings including Ghost Pepper Beef Jerky pieces for a little extra flavor and kick!
