Let's be honest — regular jalapeño poppers are just an appetizer. These are a statement.
It's smoky, spicy, salty, and just chaotic enough to be the first thing gone off the table. If your idea of a good snack involves a little bit of heat and zero apologies, you're in the right place.
Ingredients:
- 1oz Salt and Pepper Patriot Beef Jerky, finely chopped
- 12 slices bacon, halved
- 12 jalapeños, halved
- 8oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup mozzarella, shredded
- 1/2 cup colby jack, shredded
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp onion powder
Extras:
- 24 Toothpicks
Directions:
Set oven to 400 degrees. Line a large baking sheet with foil. Cut peppers in half and remove seeds (use a spoon for easier removal). Stir cream cheese in a bowl until smooth. Add remaining cheeses, jerky and spices. Mix until smooth, even consistency.
Spoon cream cheese mixture into each pepper evenly. Wrap with a half of a piece of bacon. Secure with a toothpick and place on baking sheet. Bake peppers for 25-30 minutes or until cheese is slightly browned and bacon is crispy. If needed, turn oven to broil for a couple minutes to crisp the bacon. Serve immediately and be prepared to make more!
